From nine seasons, in six of them, the winner has been male while in two seasons, the winner was female. In Big Brother 5, the winner was a transsexual (born male!). Clearly, for some reason it's a major advantage to be a male when you're a participant of Big Brother. There has been only one winner above the age of 30 - Cameron Stout. Six out of these nine winners were below the age of 25. This may be because most of the audience of reality shows like Big Brother is younger. While it wouldn't be very easy to predict the winner of Big Brother 10 at this stage, there are some contestants who have a definite disadvantage. As we have analyzed, there has been only one winner so far over the age of 30. This is probably because younger audiences prefer someone their age and more glamorous. Angel McKenzie and Marcus Akin, both 35 years of age are much older than most previous winners and will find it tough to make it. Prospects of Lisa Wallace, a 41-year-old lesbian being able to win also seem dim. Her peacock appearance doesn't help either. Eliminating these three contestants leaves us with 12 names. Currently the odds for Lisa Wallance are 15/1. They are 26/1 for Angel McKenzie and 13/1 for Marcus Akin.

Rodrigo Lopes is currently the favorite with bookmakers offering odds between 3.5 and 5 for him.

There's also a side-bet about the gender of the winner. Not surprisingly bookmakers believe the winner is more likely to be male. Of the nine seasons of Big Brother so far, in six of them the winner was male. Odds for a male winner are 1.44 while they are 2.62 for a female winner.

Sree Dasari is of Indian origin and a dark horse in the race. Being from India may work in his favor. When Shilpa Shetty, a Bollywood actress won Celebrity Big Brother in 2007, it spiked the viewership of the Indian version of Big Brother - 'Big Boss'. UK has a significant Indian population and voting could swing in his favor.

Fredrick George Fisher,Kris Donnelly, Sree Dasari, Cairon Austin Hill are all straight guys below the age of 25. Most earlier winners of Big Brother UK have been straight and 25 years or younger. If the pattern continues, one of these could emerge as the winner.  This isn't to discount the female players, some of whom can have increasing popularity over the next few weeks. Sophie Reade as a former playboy model especially has an advantage. Currently the odds offered for these players are Fredrick George Fisher 15/1, Kris Donnelly 8.5/1, Sree Dasari 16/1, Cairon Austin Hill  9/1 and Sophia 9/1. With very little information available about Big Brother 10 at this point of time, the odds are much better than they will be over the next few weeks.
